Some Halloween magic is meant to be shared.
Every Halloween, when the moon rose above the little village, a black kitten named Whiskers waited beside two glowing pumpkins.
The villagers believed black cats brought bad luck. But Whiskers knew a secret they didn’t.
On Halloween night, something extraordinary happened.
As the village clock struck midnight, the pumpkins began to glow. One by one, tiny golden lights appeared in gardens, on doorsteps and behind windows.
Nobody understood why.
Some said it was magic. Others whispered that Whiskers had placed a spell on the village.
But Whiskers knew the truth.
He had been waiting all year for this particular night.
Suddenly, one pumpkin began glowing brighter than all the others. Its golden light grew so strong that even the moon seemed to fade.
Whiskers raised his little black ears.
He knew exactly what it meant.
